The State Revenue Committee discusses the issues

of tax debt management at the international forum

On October 1-3, 2024, the IOTA Forum is being held in Oslo, Norway, in a hybrid format, which is attended by the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the context of the growing importance of digital assets, the forum will become a platform for analyzing new methods of debt collection from hard-to-access assets, including cryptocurrencies and crypto assets. Participants will be able to explore how modern technologies and data analytics can improve the efficiency of tax debt management processes.

Several key topics are planned to be discussed at the event. In particular, the focus will be on a variety of approaches to collecting tax debts, especially in light of the increasing number of assets that are difficult to recover. Attention will also be paid to the introduction of technologies and analytical tools, such as artificial intelligence, which can significantly improve the collection process.

The Forum will become an important platform for discussing issues of personal data protection, which are becoming increasingly relevant in the context of tax administration. Participants will be able to exchange views on problems and challenges related to compliance with data protection legislation in the collection of tax debts.

During the forum, participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with new and innovative approaches of tax administrations to reducing overdue debts, which will allow them to adopt best practices from colleagues from other countries. Group discussions will provide an opportunity for delegates to share their own experiences, discuss real cases and work out joint solutions.

The forum will include interactive plenary sessions and question and answer sessions, which will create an active atmosphere for joint learning and discussion.
