Tax incentives, minimum global tax and recent changes in international taxation
From July 29 to 31, 2024, with the support of the Asian Development Bank (ADB), a seminar on "Tax incentives, minimum global tax and recent changes in international taxation" is being held with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Finance, the State Revenue Committee, as well as territorial state revenue authorities.
The seminar session began with a welcoming speech by Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nurzhanov Zhanybek Maulyutbekovich and Director of the Representative Office of the Asian Development Bank in Kazakhstan Utsav Kumar.
Mr. Nurzhanov noted the importance of training competent personnel on BEPS issues in order to effectively cope with modern challenges and ensure fair taxation for all.
The lecturer at this seminar is Vikram Chand, Professor of Law, who is also an independent consultant on tax policy, government advisor and BEPS Advisor to the Asian Development Bank.
The relevance of the seminar is due to new trends and the experience of other countries, as well as the application of the global minimum tax, its rates, familiarity with important international legal acts and the latest changes made to them.
The participants of the seminar will have the opportunity to discuss and find answers to problematic issues in the development of potential in the field of international taxation, by expanding knowledge about how aggressive tax planning can be reduced using minimum international standards and gain real experience at the seminar.
