International webinar on «Categorizing participants in foreign economic activity within
the risk management system» (July 7, 8, 13, 2020)

 

In July 2020, with the support of the international organization GIZ, an international webinar was held on the topic «Categorizing participants in foreign economic activity within the risk management system» for Central Asian countries, which lasted 3 days: on July 7, 8 - on categorizing participants in foreign economic activity, on July 13 - on risk analysis at the post-customs audit stage. The webinar was conducted in Russian in online mode using the CISCO WEBEX platform.

The purpose of the webinar is to assist the state revenue authorities of the Republic of Kazakhstan in studying the best practices of the Baltic countries on the use of tools for categorizing foreign economic activity in the framework of the risk management system.

The following experts of the customs services of Baltic countries acted as lecturers:

1. Sandra Karkalina - Latvia, State Revenue Service, Deputy Director of the National customs administration;

2. Ekaterina Yakabson - Chief expert, Estonian Tax and Customs Service;

3. Alexander Mikzhuk - Chief expert, Estonian Tax and Customs Service;

4. Rima Loreta Zamkauskene – Lithuania, Regional Customs of Klaipeda, Chief inspector of Customs post clearance audit Office.⠀

The international audience of the webinar was of the representatives of customs service of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Republic of Tajikistan, workers of bodies of state revenues, working in the offices responsible for the implementation of the system of customs risk management, as well as for post-clearance audit.⠀

In the webinar, the participants exchanged opinions; questions were asked to the experts of customs services of the Baltic countries on categorization of traders, risk analysis at the stage of post clearance audit and other issues raised in this international event.
