On March 25, 2023, at the invitation of the Chinese side, the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (SRC MF RK) Daniyar Zhanalinov met with the Deputy Head of the Main Customs Administration of the People's Republic of China Zhao Zenglian in person at the Khorgos International Center for Cross-Border Cooperation of the Chinese side.

During the conversation, the parties discussed topical issues of the functioning of checkpoints on the Kazakh-Chinese border and measures to further increase their throughput.

D. Zhanalinov informed that the Kazakh side attaches particular importance to customs cooperation with China and expressed readiness for close cooperation in order to resolve pressing issues at the border.

Also, the head of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan reported on the measures taken by the Government of Kazakhstan to increase the throughput and increase the pace of trade and economic cooperation between the countries. He also paid special attention to the fact that the throughput at the Nur Zholy checkpoint has increased significantly this month.

Zhao Zenliang commended the dynamics of growth in border capacity and stressed that China is ready for close cooperation and assistance in resolving pressing issues.

As a result of the meeting, the parties agreed to further increase the throughput, to resolve the issue of issuing visas to drivers of carriers, as well as to speed up the process of returning empty trailers idle at the Nur-Zholy checkpoint.
