
The annual International Customs Forum was held on October 30-31 this year in Moscow, which was attended by a delegation of the State Revenue Committee.
At one venue, 27 international delegations exchanged experiences and deliberated upon the development of transport corridors, support and facilitation of foreign trade, Electronic Commerce, Labeling and Traceability Systems, as well as building export potential. The forum was traditionally hosted by the Federal Customs Service of Russia.
Kazakhstan presented the implemented simplifications in customs control, including the centralization of image control of transport when passing the border and making decisions on customs declarations. Simplifications were also presented, in terms of the automatic release of goods without the participation of a customs official, the issues of the development of the border infrastructure of our country, including the equipment and automation of checkpoints, were highlighted.
Moreover, as part of the forum, a productive meeting took place between the Kazakh delegation and the customs administration representatives of the Republic of Cuba. During this meeting, the two parties engaged in fruitful discussions regarding the practical aspects of the Cooperation Agreement and mutual administrative assistance in customs matters between the departments.
Further discussions were held on the sidelines of the forum with representatives of the customs administrations of the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union on coordinated measures for the practical implementation of the Agreement on the Use of Navigation Seals for Tracking Traffic in the EAEU, which will be operational in the upcoming year.
The forum will consider and incorporate the most noteworthy international patterns and trajectories in the realm of international economic operations in the Republic of Kazakhstan, as it progresses, streamlines, and reconfigures customs administration.
