BETWEEN KAZAKHSTAN AND KYRGYZSTAN REACHED AN AGREEMENT ON INCREASING THE EFFICIENCY OF CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION

On July 30, 2019, a bilateral meeting of the Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance RK Marat Sultanaziyev with the Chairman of the State customs service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic Almaz Onolbekov was held.

During the meeting, issues were discussed within the framework of the Protocol of the 8th meeting of the Kazakh-Kyrgyz Intergovernmental Council.

As a result of the meeting, the Parties agreed to conduct a pilot on the use of navigation seals in the transit of goods, conduct daily monitoring and exchange of information on the volume of import of goods from the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as on the volume of import and export of risky goods to the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and their pricing.

At the same time, agreements were reached on joint customs control at checkpoints and places of customs clearance of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Kyrgyz Republic.

The result of the coordinated work of the customs services of the two countries will be an increase in the efficiency of customs administration, a reduction in the transit time of goods, as well as an increase in the volume of transported goods.
