IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE FIGHT AGAINST THE SHADOW ECONOMY, THE SMUGGLERS WERE FINED BY 3.2 BILLION. TENGE

A plan of cooperation during the control of goods transported across the State border was created in Kazakhstan. It was approved by supervising government agencies (Ministry of Internal Affairs, Ministry of Agriculture, Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development RK, Border Service of NSC RK). This was told by Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee of MF RK Zhaidar Inkerbayev.

According to him, "illegal cargo carriers" at ICBC "Khorgos" became the main persons involved in the common schemes of shadow companies. The latter attract individuals to cross the border without customs clearance, ostensibly for their own needs.

Currently, the permissible rate of import of goods by individuals has been reduced from 50 kg to 25 kg.

Also, on the basis of local state revenue departments, operational headquarters and mobile groups were created to establish the final recipient of goods, verify the accuracy of the declared value in documents and pay indirect taxes.

"These groups carry out verification activities for all imported goods. Time observations of unscrupulous companies have been started. The latter, together with a statement of false information in the documents, understating the cost of goods, do not reflect the actual turnover, from which shall be paid indirect taxes," said Zhaidar Inkerbayev.

Thus, since the beginning of this year, the state revenue authorities have conducted time observations in respect of 50 participants in foreign economic activity importing consumer goods from People's Republic of China. As a result, it is established that almost all conduct financial and economic activities with violations of the current legislation.

In respect of participants of foreign economic activity, who committed violations, measures of administrative responsibility were taken, more than 80 fines in the amount of 3.2 billion tenge were imposed, - said the Deputy Head of the Committee.
