According to the decree of the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 10, 2020 № 568 "On determining the list of goods subject to labeling", labeling for tobacco products was introduced from 01.10.2020, from April 1, 2021 on other types of tobacco products such as sticks, cigars, cigarillos, hookah tobacco, etc.

Labeling of tobacco products by means of identification ensures the traceability of tobacco products from production/import to sale to the final consumer. Thanks to such labeling, consumers can get detailed information about the purchased product.

The draft order «On Amendments to the Order of the Minister of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan dated September 28, 2020 No. 927 «On Approval of the Rules for labeling and traceability of tobacco products» was developed to simplify business processes for retail sellers, in terms of working with labeled tobacco products.
