STATE REVENUE COMMITTEE

OF THE MINISTRY OF FINANCE OF THE REPUBLIC OF KAZAKHSTAN

Press Release

The State Revenue Committee is targeting to move to an electronic tax payment service

by creating a Single Electronic Wallet

The problem of incorrect payment of taxes is related to the complexity of filling in the set of requisites (you must specify one of 102 tax codes, 14 payment codes, 235 SRA codes or 1066 LSG codes).

At present system functionality for automatic posting of payments to personal accounts without checking the taxpayer and property records is envisaged.

That is, if a taxpayer made a mistake when entering the requisites (tax code, payment code or tax authority code were not correctly indicated), then the system will automatically post the payment to the correct requisites without the taxpayer’s request, i.e, it will perform a so-called auto-count.

However, due to the large amount of computational operations and checks, the system is not stable and does not allow to perform auto-count efficiently. To solve this problem, in 2019 the SRC will be working on strengthening the server capacity.

Also, by the end of this year it is planned to drastically improve the payment of taxes based on the experience of Estonia, which is a leader in the provision of public services. The entire process of paying taxes is being revised and it is planned to move to an electronic tax payment service by creating a Single Electronic Wallet.

All information for a taxpayer about his debts and upcoming budget commitments will be displayed in the personal account in a single window on the E.gov portal. The payment will be made using a single requisite, that is, the system will automatically post payments made to the Single Electronic Wallet to the relevant areas for which tax liabilities have arisen (declarations, calculations, inspection reports, information from authorized bodies). That is, payment will automatically be made using IIN regardless of the place of registration or location of the property. This will prevent from making erroneous payment of taxes.
