Reconstruction of checkpoints "B.Konysbaev" and "Zhibek Zholy" is planned to carry out

On 10 and 11 May of the current year, Executive Secretary of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zhamaubayev E.K. and Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Sultangaziyev M.E. visited checkpoints "B.Konysbaev" and "Zhibek Zholy" with study tour.  

During the visit, meetings with representatives of the construction organization were held; the territories of the planned reconstruction of the B.Konysbaev checkpoint and the planned construction of the bus station near the checkpoint "Zhibek Zholy" were inspected.

As part of the reconstruction of the B.Konysbaev checkpoint, it is planned to expand the checkpoint area from 3.6 ha to 6 ha, the lanes will expand from 2 to 8 lanes for vehicles, and the carrying capacity will increase from 120 to 500 cargo vehicles per day.

A modern bus station with a passenger terminal for passport and customs control near the checkpoint "Zhibek Zholy" is planned to build. Thus, the capacity will be doubled to 50 thousand individuals per day.

Modernization of checkpoints will contribute to an increase in capacity, reducing the time for state control to 25 minutes.
