A regular meeting of the working group was held at the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Member States of the Customs Union on the development of a risk management system

 

           On May 22-23, 2019, in Nur-Sultan, a regular meeting of the working group at the Joint Board of the Customs Services of the Customs Union member states on risk management system development in the customs authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union member states was held. Since 2011, the Working Group has been working on the implementation, development and improvement of the risk management system in the EAEU member states, as well as on the unification of approaches to its application.

The meeting was attended by experts of the Federal Customs Service of the Russian Federation, the State Customs Service under the Government of the Kyrgyz Republic, the State Customs Committee of the Republic of Belarus, the State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia and the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

According to the agenda of the working group, 11 major issues were considered. In addition to discussing the implementation of previous protocol decisions of the working group, a number of proposals from members of the working group were examined.

During the meeting, the issues of detectable risks in the direction of customs value control, the accuracy of the declared information on the classification and origin of goods were considered, the issue of unification of approaches to the application of the RMS in the area of protection of intellectual property rights was also considered.

It should be noted that the meeting of the working group at the Joint Board of Customs Services of the Customs Union member states on the development of a risk management system in the customs authorities of the Eurasian Economic Union member states is held on an ongoing basis, in order to uniformly apply customs legislation within the EAEU.
