A training course on:

“Training on working with scanning equipment and image analysis of X-ray devices”

was held

 

           From February 11 to 15 the Training Methodological Center of the State Revenue Committee of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Kazakhstan (hereinafter - the TMC) conducted a special course on “Training on working with scanning equipment and image analysis of X-ray devices”, in which the employees of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan who work with X-ray equipment participated.

The course was aimed at training the employees of the State Security Service of the Republic of Kazakhstan to work with scanning equipment, improve their skills in detecting dangerous and prohibited items using the Simfox simulator program, as well as outline a concept of ​​X-ray television installations as “Rapiscan”, “Rapiscan DV”, “Smith-Heimann” and “Heimann-container”.

The employees completed a course on the topic: “Profiling”. The trainees went through a course to get to know profiling methods in order to prevent and detect illegal actions by identifying potentially dangerous passengers.

The participants got acquainted with the basic concepts of X-ray television installations, reviewed the basic concepts of radiation, types of radiation and radiation monitoring. For practical purposes an X-ray installation of baggage and goods inspection was conducted, which provides a solution to the search and detection of explosives and explosive devices, weapons and ammunition to prevent attempts to smuggle illegal items and illicit trafficking of goods, vehicles and narcotic substances.

The lecturers of this course were the employees of the TMS SRC MF RK L. Kassymkulova, Ye. Ktanov and D. Aitzhanov.

Following the results of the course the trainees learned practical skills in working with X-ray television installations for classifying hand luggage and baggage in order to identify prohibited and restricted goods.

The special course was conducted in an active manner, through discussions and constructive dialogues between all participants.

         At the end of the course, the employees who underwent training were awarded certificates.
