Training sessions were held at the Cynological Center

A natural disaster is a phenomenon of nature that cause extreme situations, as a result of which there may be a threat to life and health of people and animals. Indiscriminate forces of nature are not yet fully within the control of a man and cause great damage to the state and the population. Earthquake is considered one of the most terrible catastrophes.

Unfortunately, it is impossible to prevent natural disasters, but it is possible and necessary to be ready for them and behave properly.

On February 13, 2019, on the basis of the Cynological Centre SRC MF RK the training sessions on civil defense and emergency: “Actions of the Cynological Center personnel during an earthquake” were organized and held by the Duty Services Division.

During the training at the theoretical course, the personnel were given the basic rules of behavior and evacuation rules in case of an earthquake.

During the practical training the necessary actions during and after an earthquake to reduce the risk of damage were clearly illustrated. Safety actions in safe places in each room, as well as in open space were worked out.

Earthquakes themselves rarely cause the death of people or animals. As a rule, the main cause of earthquake victims are secondary events: building collapses, fires, tsunamis (seismic sea waves) and volcanoes. It is possible to significantly reduce the effects of earthquakes due to the ongoing training sessions, as well as improving early warning systems and the evacuation of the population.
